Michael Hansmeyer is an architect and programmer specializing in algorithmic design and additive manufacturing, pioneering new methods to generate and fabricate architectural forms.
His most recent work, the 3D-printed Tor Alva (White Tower) in the Swiss Alps, is the tallest structure of its kind to date. Other projects include two massive 3D-printed sandstone grottos, an a hall of algorithmic columns for Grand Palais in Paris.
His designs are held in the permanent collections of the Centre Pompidou andFRAC Centre and have been exhibited globally at venues like the Museum of Arts and Design New York, Palais de Tokyo, and Design Miami / Basel.
